New Obama Cartoon

I asked my followers on Twitter if they wanted me to keep posting the sketches for my cartoons, and the answer was a resounding “yes.”  I don’t want to do too much of this because the sketches are embarrassingly messy, and now the mystery is gone -but since you asked for it today, here it is.

That’s the sketch-on-a-napkin of the idea to the right, below is the finished cartoon, below that the line art for the cartoon, which is how most people will see the cartoon in newspapers, and below that is the sketch that I traced for the line art. My color is usually a little light because it darkens up and gets a little heavier on the blue in print.

I chuckled, but I’m sure part of the reason I did so was I wouldn’t be surprised if someone - not well-informed about the world but much-informed about TV shows - said something this crazy!
