Video: Family Guy Invades an Editorial Cartoon

I’m not a big fan of the popular animated show Family Guy. However, I did find this parody of life inside of a Washington Post editorial cartoon funny. And although it’s no specifically a take on one of his cartoons specifically, no comment yet from Tom Toles, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist at The Post.

“The K Chronicles” comic strip featured a black man hanging from a noose saying, “You’re doing this because I’m black, aren’t you?” while white characters accuse him of playing the race card.

Father of American Cartoons Eligible for NJ Hall of Fame

Thomas Nast, a 19th century cartoonist often considered the “Father of the American Cartoon,” moved his family to Morristown, New Jersey after receiving threats from Tammany Hall’s William “Boss” Tweed.
